Payroll Officer
Salary – SCP27-30 (£30,620 – £33,644)

We are looking for a suitably qualified individual to join our small but busy payroll team.
Your main duties will be to support the Payroll Advisor and to provide cover for the Payroll Advisor as and when required.

You will assist in the authorisation of both weekly and four weekly pay runs ensuring all employees are paid correctly. You will be responsible for governance reports and updating the payroll system with new starts, leavers, promotions etc. You will be comfortable dealing with managers and trade unions and updating them with any payroll issues and dealing with enquiries from employees.
You will be experienced within the payroll function and report to the Payroll Advisor as necessary on all pay related matters and assist with the supervision of all support staff ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
You will preferably be experienced in using payroll systems ideally SAP and have supervisory experience.
You will be a confident individual, be able to bring energy to the role and have a strong work ethic.
