Mechanical Services Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen within City Building for an experienced Mechanical Services Engineer within our newly formed Mechanical Services Division.

Applications are invited from time served and experienced engineers with the relevant qualifications to operate across the City and Central Belt. You will carry out planned maintenance works, including service and repair to HVACR Plant and Equipment across a wide range of contracts, covering various clients and property types.

We operate a 37 hour working week which incorporates an element of early and late working and emergency standby rota and ensures the needs of our client is always the focus of our service provision.

You must be fully conversant with current legislative requirements relating to gas. Possession of a full driving licence is essential as is a flexible approach to ensure a high quality service.

The salary for the post is circa – £38,000 per annum, including a wide-ranging generous benefits package which includes pension scheme, annual leave and sick pay benefits.

Job Profile

A mechanical services engineer is a key member of the operations division within the business.

You will be required to undertake all heating/plant engineering works to the highest quality standards ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation and City Building’s policy. You are responsible for ensuring that all materials, plant and tools necessary to complete jobs are available and that stocks are replenished and are auditable. You must ensure that the site is left clean and tidy, removing all trade waste and debris.

 

Personal Profile

As a representative of City Building you must present yourself in the appropriate City Building uniform provided, presenting the best image of the Company. You will be customer focused in order to project a professional and quality image of the service provided and always conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

You must be capable of working on your own initiative and also as an integral part of a small team. You will be required to liaise closely with your Operations Manager in respect of any problems regarding access or delays.

You will be required to have a flexible approach to this role and in your contribution to the success of the business.

 

Conditions

Your contracted hours of work will be 37 per week to be worked to suit the needs of the business.

You will operate at all times within the framework of the LLP terms and conditions and with due regard to all Health Safety and welfare legislation.
